Loki Season 2: Marvel Studios has released the first trailer and a new poster for Loki season 2, with the footage raising a lot more questions than might have been anticipated. As anyone who has seen the first season will know, in the final moments of it the god of mischief found himself lost in an alternate timeline, in which Kang the Conqueror openly rules over the TVA. It's now hinting from the Season 2 trailer that that was just one of many alternate timelines where the protagonist will land.
With that in mind, it's hard to say whether this Mobius, the character played by Owen Wilson, is the one we got to know in the previous season. Judge Renslayer in turn appears to be on the hunt for Kang, while a kaiju-sized Miss Minutes is also on the loose. The trailer teases instead that Sylvie, meanwhile, seems to have created a new life for herself. Finally, it seems that much of Loki's upcoming season will be devoted to saving the TVA and Earth-616 by preventing the Sacred Timeline from spiraling out of control.
As for Kang the Conqueror, various statues and paintings can be seen worshiping his image, although the only glimpse we get of the villain himself is when we see his variant known as Victor Timely, already seen in the post-credits scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania. The new poster released, similar to the previous one, sees the protagonist running or walking on what could be a timeline. This time, however, the center is no longer Miss Minutes but Loki himself.
