Shazam 2 Movierulz | Shazam! Fury of The Gods Telugu Dubbed Hollywood Movie Review

Shazam 2 Movierulz

Shazam 2 Movie Review: Here we are, the new DC Universe by Safran & Gunn is almost upon us, but the appeal is still missing a couple of outstanding titles from the now-failed DCEU started 10 years ago by Zack Snyder with Man of Steel. One of them is Shazam! Fury of the Gods, the sequel to the Shazam! released in 2019, despite not making fireworks at the box office, by virtue of its "low" budget managed to be a moderate success for the production, as well as receiving the approval of the public and critics.

Two years have passed since the Shazam family, led by Billy Batson (Asher Angel/Zachary Levi), defeated Doctor Sivana and the seven deadly sins, the time is needed for the daughters of Atlas to find the magician's stick (broken in the previous film by our hero), reclaim your kingdom and of course, destroy the world.

Behind the camera is David F. Sandberg again, and in the same way Henry Gayden returns to the screenplay, this time alongside Chris Morgan, whose not exactly superfine pen makes itself felt (it is no coincidence that he wrote almost all the chapters of the Fast Saga), but we'll come back to it later.

Like its predecessor Shazam! Fury of The Gods is pleasantly characterized by a lightness and self-irony that, with the exception of the most recent The Suicide Squad, had never been felt in previous DC films; a pleasant breath of fresh air that does not prevent the story from worthily addressing issues such as the family (better than in Fast & Furious), acceptance, inclusiveness, courage, and sacrifice.

It's incredible how sometimes, contrary to the various proclamations with which many stand as champions of all possible and imaginable rights, a few jokes and a few scenes of a cinecomic are enough to get the message across that being gay is a very normal thing that it shouldn't cause a stir, that the real family is the one that accepts you as you are and raises you as a son or brother beyond blood ties, and that courage is not given by a cloak or super strength.

Among the characters we find the magician played by Djimon Hounsou, while as a new entry, we have Anne (Rachel Zegler), the romantic interest of Freddy (and others), and the daughters of Atlante Esperida and Calypso, the villains played respectively by Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu. I think there is very little to say about the first, in the sense that Mirren would be able to be pleasant and believable even playing an iron (or Jason Statham's mother), instead it is better to overlook the monoexpressiveness of the second.

Despite being sisters and pursuing the same goal, their (simple) characterizations are well distinguished, so as to almost lead the viewer to side more with one than with the other; Mark Strong with his Doctor Sivana managed to be a little more "threatening" than them, but all in all they perform fairly well thanks to the good stage presence and the host of creatures that accompany them.

It is more difficult for me to understand according to which criterion two immortal goddesses decide to show themselves one with the appearance of an eighty-year-old and the other with the appearance of a fifty-year-old, but I don't want to be too picky.

Rather I want to highlight how the script is rather lame, with magic, deus ex machine, and sensational oversights by some protagonists who wander around the film a bit like crazed splinters. It is a simple story, with good interactions between the characters, and some twists, and turns, but written quite with the feet; on the other hand, the screenplay bears the signature of someone who over the years has begun to make DVD thieves break the laws of physics.

Fortunately, the bulk of the flaws is masked by a good visual sector, an always well-sustained and never too frenetic pace, a pleasant soundtrack, and a widely present comedy which, however, almost always hits the mark. There are also references to the most famous DC superheroes, and even this self-quotation can only bring smiles.

Shazam! Fury of The Gods, in line with its predecessor, proves to be the perfect cinecomic for the whole family, a film without delusions of grandeur, without pomposity, but with simple and clear messages for young and old. This 12th DCEU movie is far from perfect, but it's proof that if all of its predecessors had had the spirit, heart, and fewer pretensions of the awesome Shazam family, DC likely wouldn't have found themselves forced into yet another cinematic reboot. Please, watch out for surprises and stay seated until the end!
